Tax planning & compliance

Built on trust

Full service tax, accounting, and advisory services tailored to individuals and businesses. We combine technical expertise with personalized attention to deliver exceptional results.

Year-round planning, accurate filings.

Compliance is reporting what already happened. Planning is the set of decisions made before the year closes that change what you end up owing. Most surprises at filing time are planning problems, not filing problems.

We handle both together, so the return reflects decisions you made deliberately rather than ones you discover in April.

Planned early, filed on time

  • Federal and California returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations
  • Quarterly estimated payments, kept current as the year changes
  • Year-end projections before 31 December, while decisions can still be made
  • Entity and owner planning treated as one picture, not two
  • Extensions prepared and tracked, with payments calculated properly
  • Prior-year returns reviewed for missed items

Who it's for

  • Business owners whose company return and personal return affect each other
  • Families with several entities, trusts, or rental properties
  • Anyone whose tax bill has been a surprise more than once
  • People who have been filing their own returns and have outgrown it

How it works

  1. We read the last two returns

Most of what we need to know about your position is already in them.

  2. We plan before year-end

Projections while there is still time to act, not a bill after the fact.

  3. We file and keep estimates on track

Returns filed, payments scheduled, and adjustments as the year moves.

Common questions

When are my returns actually due?

Individual returns are due 15 April. Partnership and S corporation returns are due 15 March. Because 15 March 2026 falls on a Sunday, that deadline moves to Monday 16 March 2026. Extensions move filing to 15 October for individuals and 15 September for partnerships and S corporations.

Does filing an extension increase my chance of an audit?

No. Extensions are automatic when requested properly and are completely routine. The thing to get right is payment: an extension gives you more time to file, not more time to pay. Interest and penalties run from the original due date on anything unpaid.

I have several entities. Does one firm need to handle all of them?

It is usually better if one does. An S corporation's return drives the owner's K-1, which drives their personal return, which affects estimated payments. When those sit with different preparers, the decisions get made in isolation and someone pays for it later.

What do you need from me to get started?

The last two filed returns, access to your current-year books, and any notices you have received. That is enough for a first conversation about where you stand.
